What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop Israel developer IVA ecosystem with cross functional team: Product, Engineering, Applied Research, Marketing, and Sales
  • Lead and develop strategic relationship with key IVA startups, ISV’s, and leading industries’ developers
  • Know all NVIDIA GPU / AI computing platforms from datacenter to edge and effectively articulate the value proposition to the Israel developer community
  • Drive adoption of NVIDIA SDK’s into developer products
  • Funnel relevant startups to participate in NVIDIA Inception program
  • Provide feedback of features requests into actionable engineering and product definition
  • Be alert to the competitive landscape and communicate internally
  • Strategic partnership and community building by attending research conferences and hosting technical meetups
  • Engage industry events to speak, gather requirements, build relationships, showcase NVIDIA technology

What We Need To See

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 5+ years experience in Higher Education & Research or video analytics or IoT or healthcare industry
  • 5+ years’ business development/strategic alliance experience for software/hardware products
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills are essential, since candidate must work across all major internal functional areas (engineering, sales, and marketing) and with external partners, customers, and content developers
  • Must be comfortable at C-level, as well as individual contributor engineers/marketers
  • Working knowledge of with machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Research, design and develop deep learning and computer vision algorithms to detect a wide variety of medical conditions from image and textual data.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team of medical doctors, engineers, and designers to deliver an end-to-end product: from the idea phase, through collecting and assessing the data, exploring algorithmic approaches, developing, testing, validating and integrating the algorithm in the production environment.
  • Read and implement algorithms publications in the field of deep learning and computer vision, as well as publish your own work, and contribute to the community via conferences/meetups etc.
  • Participate in long term research efforts, and build excellence in the field of deep learning for imaging data
  • Contribute to the team’s methodologies, best practices and toolset, share your work and give/receive feedback from peers in the team

Requirements:

  • MSC. in computer science, preferably in the field of machine learning/computer vision
  • 3+ years of hands on development of complex machine learning models using modern frameworks and tools (ideally python based)
  • 1+ year of hands on experience with Deep learning using common open source frameworks and tools (Keras, TensorFlow, Theano, Caffe etc.)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Our technology streamlines retail operations, prevents shoplifting, automates inventory control, provides invaluable retail insights and presents opportunities for new levels of customer engagement within retail environments.

Making this all work requires solving many problems ranging over various algorithmic fields spanning computational geometry, machine learning, convex optimization and more. 

Thankfully we have already established a team of great people – but there are many more problems to solve.

Last year we closed a 7M$ seed round from Vertex and Hetz ventures. We have a working demo (and a real supermarket in our office) and some very interesting, international customers – along with our very own Shuferal who tagged along for the ride. Our offices (same ones with the working supermarket) are located in central Tel-Aviv. We sometimes have ice cream in the fridge.

As a DL Researcher, You Will

  • Perform end-to-end research to production workflow; we design and build our models, train them and push them into production.
  • Participate and lead cutting edge research to develop solutions for real-world problems that don’t admit an “off-the-shelf” solution.
  • Work with an extremely strong Deep Learning team.

What Experience You Need

  • Be a team player in the full sense of the word. We brain storm, solve problems together and enjoy what we do.
  • 3+ years of tackling machine learning problems of some kind.
  • Research-oriented education in machine learning/computer vision (e.g. MSc/ Ph.D.) – or equivalent industry/military experience.
  • Familiarity with at least one leading deep learning platform (MXNet, PyTorch, TF/Keras).
  • Strong programming skills with Python.

Nice to Have

  • Specific experience with employing deep learning for computer vision tasks.
  • Existing industry experience in product-oriented research.

About Emza

Emza Visual Sense develops sub-milliwatt, trainable, low-cost, autonomous, computer-vision IoT sensors for automatic scene interpretation of the visual world around us. The low cost, ultra low power consumption, and high intelligence make systems applicable and affordable for a wide range of markets and applications – from accurate counting and tracking of people in smart buildings to human detection for virtual personal assistants.  Emza’s visual sensors are smaller than a coin, consume less than 1 mW and reduce cost by an order of magnitude.  Our proprietary algorithms are embedded at the edge and are specially designed for extremely thin computing cores and a unique ultra low power CMOS image sensor. Computer Vision Algorithm Team Leader

Basic qualifications

  • MSc or higher in computer science, mathematics, exact sciences, or engineering.
  • 4+ years professional experience in development of computer vision algorithms.
  • Proficiency and experience in C/C++.
