The data science group is a research focused group within Datorama, a Salesforce Company, dedicated to putting science into the art of media buying.
The task of allocating paid media budget with the goal to maximize some desired outcome, such as conversions or leads, can easily be considered the holy grail of marketing automation.
We are looking for strong researchers to join the team and help us change the marketer's approach to media buying, inflight campaign analysis, and optimization.

Responsibilities:

* Design and code ML algorithms, applying techniques such as bayesian modeling and reinforcement learning
* Familiarize yourself with the online marketing world and data, define new challenges that exhibit high potential of business impact
* Stay up to date with recent advances in the academic machine learning community
* Contribute to our long term research agenda by building a repertoire of best practices, toolsets, and guidelines

Requirements:

* M.Sc./Ph.D degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science or other relevant domain.
* 5 years experience applying machine learning to solve complex problems

* Strong programming skills (we use python but experience with Matlab / R is also welcome)
* A big plus – substantial experience with one or more of: Bayesian modeling / Reinforcement Learning / Deep Learning

About the Group and the position

The Smart Sensing and Vision research group is responsible for conducting researches with several sensing modalities, including vision, radars and optical depth sensors, toward improved safety and autonomous vehicles. We are leading the self-driving vehicle revolution.

The group is hiring an intern to assist in advanced research, development and evaluation of new concepts in the fields of computer vision and machine learning.
