As a AI/ML Research Engineer focusing in Causal Machine Learning we’d like you to be able to:

  • Lead, design and implement novel scientific approaches to leveraging high-dimensional biological data sets to build predictive models for precision oncology
  • Provide first-class machine learning input to programs/projects; be a key contributor to the planning and direction of a project, and effectively prioritize goals
  • Provide domain expertise and mentor more junior scientists
  • Design, develop and implement analytical solutions using a variety of commercial and open source tools (common tools include Python, Keras or TensorFlow)
  • Connect and collaborate with subject matter experts in biology, genomics and medicine
  • Compare results from various methodologies and recommend best techniques to Stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to apply the latest advancements in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to build, test, and validate predictive models
  • Offer, challenge and solicit advice via peer review to enhance quality, share best practice and embed innovation
  • Develop and embed automated processes for predictive model validation, deployment, and implementation
  • Deploy your algorithms to production to identify actionable insights from large databases

Required

  • A higher degree in computer science, data science, applied math, physics, systems biology, or bioinformatics
  • 5+ years experience in development of interpretable machine learning, preferably with exposure to functional genomics or molecular and cellular biology
  • Expert understanding of a programming language such as Python
  • Past experience in building deep learning models with at least one Deep Learning framework such as TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch
  • Application and understanding of best practices in software engineering, training and operating algorithms at scale
  • Past experience in owning and shipping services, including production deployment of ML tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both English and Hebrew)
  • Ability to solve complex problems using creative ideas, state-of-the-art tools and best engineering practice

We are looking for an experienced applied AI researcher to help us with our research efforts in the field of efficient NLP models and applications (e.g. new topologies, software and hardware optimization, decomposition of training-inference pipelines).
