At Nym Health we’re building a fully autonomous AI system that understands free-text medical records and makes decisions independently (not a co-pilot, not a decision-support tool).
Our platform combines advanced NLP, deep learning, statistical ML, clinical knowledge, and ontologies, running in production at scale and directly impacting how hospitals operate.

The Role

We’re looking for a Head of Research to lead a significant AI research group (~10 people) positioned at the core of the product and business impact.
This role combines technical depth, strategic ownership, and people leadership. You will own the Core AI of the product and shape the long-term research and technology direction of the company.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and grow a multidisciplinary AI research team
• Own the Core AI architecture and research roadmap
• Drive long-term technological and research decisions
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and senior leadership
• Turn advanced research into production-grade ML systems
• Ensure tight integration between research, product, and real-world deployment

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading AI / Research teams
• Strong background in NLP and ML systems, including production deployment
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, agent-based systems, and complex AI architectures
• Deep understanding of modern deep learning and applied machine learning
• Experience building scalable, real-world ML systems (not just experimentation)
• Comfortable taking full ownership over people, direction, and strategic decisions
