Spinning out from Tel Aviv University, MNDL Bio’s online platform leverages predictive analytic capabilities refined over 10 years and 150+ optimization algorithms to provide biotechnology engineers unprecedented speed and efficacy in optimizing gene constructs – cutting typical lab trial-and-error timelines while maximizing function.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Lead Data Scientist to architect the predictive analytic foundation enabling our breakthrough gene expression optimization platform.

This high visibility position shaping a venture-backed platform from genesis offers immense upside for creative technical leaders to transform how biological engineering is conducted.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and design the data science infrastructure: create the technology stack, including data acquisition, preprocessing, storage, and analysis.
  • Transform prototype-level algorithms into production-grade solutions: taking our existing algorithms into robust and scalable solutions suitable for real-world applications.
  • Integrate data science components into the online platform: Collaborate closely with the synthetic biology team to integrate the data science functionalities into the online platform.
  • Maintain and improve data pipelines and models: ongoing maintenance and improvement of data pipelines and models.
  • Continuously learn, evolve, and embrace new technologies to keep our platform at the forefront of the ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Academic degrees (M.Sc or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Biology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience of 5+ years in designing and implementing data science infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning with experience in developing and deploying models.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics concepts and tools.
