Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Company: Project M
Location: Tel-Aviv Area
Job Type: Full-Time, Hybrid

Who we are: Project M is a pioneering digital health startup, driven by a team of highly experienced and passionate researchers, engineers, and clinicians. We are on a mission to reduce clinical variation, enhance patient outcomes, and reduce healthcare costs. Having recently completed a successful proof of concept in the pre-seed incubation stage at Tel Aviv and Sheba Medical Centers, we are poised for our next developmental phase and are expanding to tackle our next challenges.

What we do: Our mission addresses a critical issue in medicine: clinical variation, where similar patients receive different types of treatments resulting in varying suboptimal outcomes. We are developing state-of-the-art technology using Causal and Generative AI models, which leverage unique clinical knowledge and are trained on extensive datasets to navigate patients toward the best possible outcomes.

Who we are looking for and what you are going to do: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior ML Engineer to lead our data and machine learning engineering efforts end-to-end. As a key player in developing our inaugural product, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with clinicians, data scientists, and developers to refine our product.
  • Constructing complex, scalable data pipelines to manage, process, and analyze large volumes of clinical data efficiently.
  • Designing, testing, and deploying ML models in production environments.
  • Implementing CI/CD tools and MLOps principles to automate the development, testing, and deployment lifecycle of our ML models.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement through learning, knowledge sharing, and code reviews.

What you should bring with you:

  • MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a leading university.
  • Proven experience as an ML Engineer.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing ML algorithms in production settings.
  • Strong data engineering capabilities.
  • Proficiency in both relational and non-relational database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • The drive to thrive in a startup environment and a passion for healthcare.
  • Experience in healthcare or digital health is highly beneficial.

Why you should join us: We are well funded and provide the unique opportunity to join our founding team, embracing all the associated benefits and responsibilities. This role offers challenges that you never tackled before, and your contributions will directly influence our success and our overarching aim to enhance patient health. You will enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work setting, dividing your time between our office in the Tel-Aviv area and remote work.
