Utilis is a successful earth observation data startup company specializing in SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) data. Utilis has developed a cutting-edge unique technological solution for exploiting data out of radar satellites including an algorithm that is derived from techniques used to search for water on Mars.
We are looking for a computer vision expert to join our AI team. The team is responsible for the analysis and utilization of SAR data. By using advanced deep learning technologies, signal processing and image analysis our scientists are building cutting edge solutions for a variety of industries.
Essential Functions:
- Developing image processing algorithms for remote sensing data processing (Synthetic-aperture radar (SAR))
- Integrating image and/or signal processing algorithms into processing & analysis applications
- Applying rigorous statistical methods and analysis to ensure findings are complete and accurate.
- Implementing algorithms in high-level scientific computing languages in Python.
- Integrating SAR data exploitation techniques into machine learning applications
- Developing of solutions to complex technical problems where little or no precedent exists, and innovation is required.
Position requirements include:
- One year experience in image processing, deep neural networks, and convolutional neural networks.
- Ability to design and implement learning architectures and systems by combining standard Deep Learning (DL) processing components with modality-specific elements to produce novel solutions to hard problems.
- Two years in algorithms and Deep Neural networks (CNN and GAN) implementation in Python and Keras/TensorFlow 2.0
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience in statistics analysis in Python
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage workload, time, and resources.
- Experience in working with AWS remote environments (EC2(Ubuntu) and S3)
Additional differentiators:
- Deep technical understanding of standards for geospatial data.
- Familiarity with Synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) remote sensing/ultrasound processing or LIDAR sensor.
- Experience in C and C++
