Senior Data Scientist at Walmart Global Tech Israel
AR Apparel is part of Walmart Global Tech developing immersive eCommerce experiences at scale. The group is based on the acquisition of the Israeli startup Zeekit and is responsible for several live experiences on Walmart.com. The focus of the group is conducting applied research using state of the art technologies in the scope of Generative AI, including Diffusion models, LLMs, and Deep Learning, to help Walmart’s customers make better informed purchasing decisions. Development of future proofs of concept is an additional constant aspect of the work.
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our R&D team and help us bring the company’s vision of virtual try-on to reality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the field of deep learning and computer vision. Advantage to candidates with hands-on research experience with Diffusion models and/or LLMs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead research of innovative solutions to develop new and improve existing models which enable AR Apparel products
- Own your deliverables from literature research, design and development to integration, testing and ongoing support
- Collaborate closely with other researchers in the group and promote teamwork
- Make the best out of the group processes, Walmart resources and improve upon them
Requirements:
- Self-driven attitude, end-to-end ownership
- 4+ years of experience in deep learning and computer vision research
- MSc in STEM from a leading university
- Proven track record of research deliverables
