Applied ML seminars – Synthetic Data (אירוע)

אני שמח להזמין אתכם לאירוע הראשון שלנו בסדרת Applied ML seminars שנעשים בשיתוף עם Applied Materials. בכל אירוע מסוג זה, ניקח נושא אחד שמעניין את הקהילה ונדבר עליו בהרחבה מכמה זוויות שונות. לאירוע הראשון בחרנו לדבר על נושא שלא מעט מחברי הקהילה עוסקים בו: דאטה סינתטי. באירוע נדבר על שימושים שונים בדאטה מסוג זה, נלמד על טיפים על איך לעשות בו שימוש ולבסוף גם נבין איך אפשר להשתמש בו גם עד לפרודקשיין. האירוע יתקיים ב-25.11 בשעה 17:00 ויכלול שלושה דוברים מחברות שונות.

1. Boris Levant, Algorithms manager at Applied Materials – Data generation challenges in the semiconductor industry.

2. Liron Izhaki,  Head of AI at Hour One – Conditional GANs: How and why.

Abstract:

As the name implies, conditional GANs are a variant of GANs that allow
the user to control the generated content. In this talk we'll talk about what they are, how they differ from "normal" GANs and how they work.
We'll consider the business applications of conditional GANs and consider some of the most prominent conditional GANs to date.

3. Yair Adato, Co-Founder and CTO at Bria – From breakthrough technology to a newborn company.

Abstract:

GAN, generative adversarial network, is an emerging technology that revolutionize the field of machine learning. However, this technology is fairly immature.
In this talk we will discuss how to bridge the gap between the immature technology and building new company. We will discuss how to evaluate the technology in the context of new startup (or as a new technology in existing company). Finally, we will demonstrate these principles using a generative algorithm we have develop at Bria.
Yair Adato is the co-founder and CTO of Bria. Before that Yair served the VP R&D / CTO of Trax which is one of the pioneers in the field of RetailTech. Between 2012-2019 he has participated in building Trax as a unicorn from 10 employees to 1000 employees.
Yair Adato received his Ph.D. in the field of Computer Vision from the Ben-Gurion University in 2012. He was awarded with the Google European Doctoral Fellowship 2011.
Yair is active in several community programs mainly in helping to educate of the next generation for tech and math, especially for involvement of women in tech.
4. Yam Peleg, CEO at DeepTrading – Synthetic tabular data generation using GANs
abstract:
Synthetic tabular data generation is a non-trivial task. Tabular data usually contains a mix of discrete and continuous columns. Continuous columns may have multiple modes whereas discrete columns are sometimes imbalanced making deep neural network models fail to properly model tabular data. This talk will review some of the recent advancements in tabular data generation leading to Conditional Tabular GANs (CTGAN). We will also see that in some cases, including synthetic data when training supervised-learning algorithms, outperforms other pretraining methods on various real-life datasets whereas other augmentations methods could not.
